Dear Barbara,
The “ROSBRIEN SUICIDE AWARENESS
GROUP”, would like to thank yourself and the many people who donated
to your recent sponsored Dublin City Marathon Run which was kindly given
to our group. We would also like to thank the Management of the
Castletroy Park Hotel for their very generous contribution .
We would like to assure every one that
the money collected will go to a pilot program we have put in place for
secondary schools in this region.
The program consists of professional
speakers visiting secondary schools and highlighting suicide awareness
and prevention. We have already commenced with 3 Limerick schools :
C.B.S. Sexton Street, Scoil Carmel, O Connell Avenue, and Laurel Hill
Secondary School. We can thank the Principals of all 3 schools for
taking the initiative and allowing us to bring this program to them.
Special thanks must go to Mr. Noel Earlie, Principal of C.B.S. for
giving us the encouragement to take this to the schools.
We would again like to thank everyone
involved in helping us reach our goal of tackling the ever growing
problem of SUICIDE.
