On September 22nd we held an auction in Limerick.
We would like very much to Thank
everyone who contributed, and the fantastic response we had on the
night.
Without the support of the contributors to the
auction, we could not proceed with any of our plans.
People can be assured that money made on the night,
will go to good use.
We have put into effect a pilot scheme focusing
on Secondary Schools by bringing guest speakers to come and
discuss the issues surrounding "suicide". We had great
success to date with the 1st three schools, the feed back from
the schools was very positive and would like to thank Mr Noel
Early principle of C.B.S. Sexton Street,Limerick, for assisting in
putting this programme together. We would also like to thank the
Principles and Students of Laurel Hill Secondary
School and Scoile Carmel for taking the initiative and allowing us
into their school.
We are presently in talks with other schools with the intention of
continuing the programme for the new year.
We also intend to continue our awareness programme,
and our campaign to improve services for those at risk of suicide
and families bereaved through suicide.
